NAWSRC Certified Specialists are recognized as members of the industry who have demonstrated superior knowledge and dedication to the ideals of the association. They demonstrate to their customers their commitment to the best in technical skills and devotion to the highest ethical standards.
NAWSRC offers three certifications. Members can become a Certified Waterproofing Specialist (CWS), an Above-Grade Waterproofing Specialist (CAWS), or a Structural Repair Specialist (CSRS).
It is not easy be become certified. To qualify, they must have been a member
of the waterproofing industry for at least four years and their company must have
been a member of NAWSRC for at least one year. They must demonstrate high
industry standards and dedication to continuing their professional education.
After qualifying, they are tested in various technical areas including safety and
ethics. Their obligation to the ideals of the program does not stop with achieving
certification. To maintain their certification, they must obtain 15 hours of
continuing professional education every two years.
Certification examinations are given during the Annual Convention and Mid-Year
Meeting only.
Certified Specialists are A Cut Above the Rest!
The only waterproofing professionals who are required to:
- Pass a rigorous exam
- Continue education
- Uphold ethics
(NAWSRC certifies that its members meet the Standards and Ethics criteria, but it does not certify the contractors work.)
