I have a quad level home. The lower level is about 3 feet below grade. After raining or snow melting the heating duct in the bedroom fills up with water and then finds its way down into the basement thru the duct. I had 4 estimates and none of them new what the problem was and all thought that the water was coming from the outside wall of the bedroom. I found out (on my own) that when they built the house 23 years ago they installed the heating duct that goes from the bedroom to the laundry room, parallel and adjacent to the drain tile that goes to the outside wall of the laundry room. Any idea if something like that can be fixed?

You have a common problem when heating vents a run under the slab of your home. You have two choices to fix your problem. The first is called Slab Duct Relief. it basically is installing a full perimeter drain tile around the exterior of your home, to drain the water from around your foundation before it enters the heating vents. the other choice is to eliminate your vents by filling with concrete and run your heating vents overhead.
