After the last snowfall I started to have seepage towards the back of the house, which is facing a slope.
The house is only 5 years old and we have a sump pump which is working. The backyard is sloped away from the house and all the gutters' leads are connected to a drainage system. The size of the basement is 226 feet.
We contacted waterproofing professionals and we are stuck between two systems. I would like to know if one is better than the other and why.
System 1- using PVC pipes, 3 sump containers with 3 H.D. Effluent pumps and 3 battery backups and 3 clean outs. The system is called Level 5 pressure release. It is said to cost $7,840 with lifetime guarantee.
System 2- Using 4" PE pipe, 3 pumps and cleanout plugs. A full or partial 3/4" gap will be left (I don't know why and whether that is a good idea). It is said to cost $7,600 with 10 years guarantee.
Please help.
Thanks,
Dr. Yacob
