I HAVE A SITUATION IN WHICH A HOME I SOLD THAT HAS A ICF BASEMENT WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY WHEN BUILT AND NOW I AM BEING SUED. THE CONTRACTOR ASSURED ME THAT THE SYSTEM HE PUT IN IS THE BEST OPTION FOR ICF BASEMENTS. WHEN BUILT, THE SEAMS OF THE ICF BLOCK WERE COVERED WITH A PRODUCT BY DEWITT WHICH COULD BE USED ON ICF. HE THEN COVERED THE WALL WITH 6 MILL VISQUEEN , NOT A MEMBRANE. DURING THE COARSE OF THE FIVE YEARS THAT WE LIVED THERE WE HAD ABOUT FOUR SPOTS ON THE WALL THAT SHOWED MOISTURE. AFTER WE SOLD THE HOUSE THE NEW OWNERS STARTED HAVING SPOTS ALL OVER THE WALLS. WE LATER FOUND OUT FROM THE NEIGHBORS THAT THEY WERE CONSTANTLY RUNNING THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM , WHICH WE BELIEVE WAS TO TEST THE WALL TO ITS MAX SINCE WE GAVE THEM A WARRANTY. MY QUESTION IS WAS THE WALL DONE CORRECTLY IN THE FIRST PLACE, AND IF IT WAS NOT HOW SHOULD IT OF BEEN DONE?
