I recently had a french drain installed with a sump pump crock by a NAWSRC memeber from Rochester, NY. They placed the crock in a corner of the basement. The pump is at the bottom of the crock, and holes were drilled into it. It's a 22 inch deep crock. We have clay soils. If the water table is high enough, I am afraid the pump will be running constantly, and also that the foundation may be undermined, Is this a valid concern?
