We had french drains installed in a portion of our basement a few years ago. We also had our downspouts and sidewalks re-done so that water is directed away from the house. We have had two heavy rains in the past 2 weeks. Both resulted in water pooling in one quadrant of my basement.
my question is: How do I find out where the water is coming from. What type of professional company does this type of diagnosis? Is it a contractor, waterproofing company, engineer, etc? I am not sure who to call. My concern with calling waterproofing companies is that they tend to try and up-sell their drainage systems and are often not credible. I have no idea who to call and would appreciate any insight you could provide. Thanks.
