I am selling my house and the buyers had a guy come look at it and he said my basement walls need to be core filled and reinforced with rebar. I have agreed to do this, but different contractors are telling me different things when they give me estimates. Is totally filling the walls just as good as cores filled every 4' reinforced with rebar? The guy they sent out quoted $7,400, and two other contractors quoted $2,500 and $2,850. Is is safe to say their contractor was trying to rip me off?
