Our house is 55 years old and our basement is completely finished. (or was)
Recently we had a very heavy storm and we got water in at the centre point of the wall along the wall and floor, with this we also got six large handfulls of mud. We have cut out pieces of our wall from front to back, insulation and wall are dry, it is only in at two foot area. The one contractor we talked with suggests digging outside and ripping out all basement walls. :eek:
