A LICENSED waterproofing company representative came to my home tapped on my basement floor with a hammer and stated there was washout under the floor and hydrostatic pressure was attacking the walls. He drew illustrations on z company folder illustrating this. Said I really needed to have this taken care of. I have a 135 year old house with a stone foundation, so a multistep procedure was done with a sump pump, etc. Cost of job was $10,600. After a lot of problems communicating with this company I had a home inspection done by a professional company. They sent me a 5 page report in detail. They found no conditions inside or out that would require a dewatering system. Michigan Dept of Labor & Economic Growth, after 11 months told me they couldn't help me. Can you advise me on what recourse I can obtain to help in this matter? Where can I file a complaint or hire an attorney knowledgeable in this area? Thank you. Clarissa
