waterproofing blocks on new garage

I recently built a new garage that sits on at least one course of 8" block(all on a floating slab). The alley side of the garage has a concrete apron against it. When it rains the water runs off the roof and splashes on the apron, which is constantly wetting the block on that side of the garage. The block gets soaked and the water begins to seep in either through the block itself or the mortar joint. I have heard of a paint on product made by Brock White that is great for this need, but I would like a second opinion.

Any Suggestions?
